Age limits

Age limits are as follows: S, which is allowed for all ages, K7, K12, K16 and K18.

Children who are three years under the age limits 7, 12 and 16 can watch an age-restricted movie if they are suprvised by an adult (over 18 years old). The age limit K18 is not flexible. Age limits are not recommendations, but are based on law. Cinemas must ensure that the age of the customer is sufficient to watch the movie. Make sure you can prove your age during the tickt sale as well as at the door of cinema hall when you buy tickets or enter the cinema hall for an age-restricted movie.

Movies that have the age limit S, meaning they are for any age, we recomment coming with children when they are old enough to sit stil and concentrate on the movie. A child needs to have their own movie tickets for the movie, with the except of Finnkino's Newbies screenings.

S: Allowed for all ages.
7: Not allwed for under 7 year olds.
Children of 4 years old are allowed with adult supervision (over 18 years old).

The film has not yet been classified.

In addition to the age limit, each movie includes content tags that defines what kind of content the movie includes that can be harmful to children and defines the age limit.

Harmful content for children is violence, sexual content, distressing/anxious content, or other similar content.

Includes violence.
Includes sex.
May cause anxiety.
Includes use of intoxicants.

Finnkino's website shows two of the most important content labels in the movie information. For exact classification and for more information on the age limits and content labels, see (in Finnish): www.ikarajat.fi.

Accessibility

All auditoriums at Finnkino cinemas have assigned places for wheelchairs. We recommend reserving or buying tickets to assigned wheelchair places in advance due to limited availability and any necessary arrangements. You can reserve tickets in our web shop, where you can also buy the tickets, as well as at the box office at a cinema. Reservations can also be made by phone through the Kinolippu service (0600 007 007, € 1.99/minute + local network rate/mobile charge. The Kinolippu service is available Monday–Thursday at 12 noon–6 pm and Friday–Sunday at 10 am–6 pm).

If you need a free ticket for your assistant, reserve a regular ticket for the assistant in addition to your wheelchair ticket. When you collect reserved tickets from the box office, the salesperson will change the assistant’s ticket to a free-of-charge ticket. A free-of-charge ticket cannot be acquired from the web shop. Please prepare to present an authorization from local social services or a similar document on the necessity for an assistant.

Assistance from staff members can be arranged at the box office, if necessary.

More detailed information about the accessibility of a cinema is available on our website.
